Is it possible with 2.0 to adjust the base Warp Gate distance?

I've built a small mining ship that has a rotating "drill head." When rotating the salvage computer fires its beams as expected, however it doesn't actually salvage anything. I can see the beams hitting the asteroid and even not passing through the asteroid. Is this expected?

I would like to see this for lights. Changing a light from red to green would be very helpfull.

Has anyone else had this issue. Previously I would hit "R" to select the weapon system output. Now the "R" does nothing and then HUD says to use "C". When I hit "C" all it does it select the block for connecting slaves. How do we control which module is the weapon output? I have duplicated this...

I find it more confusing to remember which or is in which asteroid and where in a sector that asteroid would be. 24 different kinds of resources isn't bad in my opinion. I think have the 3 kinds of material have the same name would be more confusing. I like the chart I might have to print that...
