When are we getting heat shields? it's pretty silly how a poorly judged jump can kill you with no way to defend against it. Suns are more dangerous than the AI right now.

Is there the intention to have any kind of fleet upkeep costs? i.e fuel, crew pay etc

Is this thread ever going to be paid attention to? Council code of conduct says they should be running it ;)

    I have a few questions:

What will the flora system be like? I see it in the road map, will this be spreading plants?

Will there be liquids? like liquid water physics similar to minecraft?
We try to bring more life to planet surfaces, we cannot yet determine the performance impact a real growth or farming may have, so it's not yet decided if we can do it or not.

    Currently:
No, it's a quite high load.
Yes, calbiri stated it will come, but as you all know he is not part of the development team anymore.
We would like to have flood or float mechanics, but you can imagine its almost impossible to do that without HEAVY cpu load.

They plan on a mechanic for this, but not 100% fixed details yet, so also no ETA on the implementation.

Mostly crew based, to increase their efficiency, but that still not 100% sure yet.

ps: from now on I will watch this thread (though starting from this Tuesday I will be gone for 3 weeks so that will make it a bit harder)

Thanks for paying attention again, however, I believe you're mistaken in how this thread worked. the responses should be from schine, not the currently known information.

From your code of conduct -
    • "The Council will manage a Q&A thread in their public forum and actively update it with responses from Schine. Questions should be included in summary threads ready for Schine staff meetings if they aren't answered earlier by a member of Schine."

Everything stated in that post were responses by schine. I will though, make sure that I can change the OP to put the answered questions there.
