hum.... I almost think having some kind of space feature like that might be interesting. AND is kinda how black holes work (as far as I know). while the current black holes we have, IMO are more like worm holes. Could be interesting to have both of those exist.
The current blackholes ARE wormholes. I'm pretty sure they're officially called wormholes.

Been having a few Nope Moments on FilleCraft (their Starmade Server) and most of them have to do with the bugged AI spawning, sometimes they'll come and sometimes they won't but when they do it is usually spawn that gets hit and turned into a target rich environment. o_O So many Red Dots around the spawn sector it isn't funny yet it is at the same time. XD

I saw a large asteroid, went over in my little salvage dinghy, and the asteroid turns to look at me. Needless to say, a hailstorm of cannon fire flew out and annihilated me.

Started a new survival world to test some stuff and get more survival in.
    Forgot to turn off DEFAULT_BLUEPRINT_ENEMY_USE.

2 pirate bases spawned adjacent to spawn, shortly after many drones spawned.
Not just dinky drones, I am talking stumpies (148k dmg missiles), box cutters (yep, shields useless), brawlers (yep everythings useless), jumping troll drones, torpedo bombers and many more experimental nasties.

Noped right the hell out of there.

Trying to enjoy building your ships/stations, and then finding new bugs along the way...Forces me to alt tab and get back to work, reproduce the issue and report it :(
Usually I just say "Nope, not today" and leave it on a note somewhere and post phone it forevah. Else 1 hour play time is more like 10 minutes playing and 50 minutes bug reporting/testing ^^

    that's a NOPE moment for me :P

Well, I think the story I'm about to illustrate with pictures, happened to many players.

So, I hop into my miner to go on an exploration run. Charge both main and emergency jump drive in case I end up too close to a sun or something like that. You know, standard procedure you learn to do after you get burnt to a crisp once or twice.
I choose a shop I haven't been to yet so I could maybe leech some credits off it. I jump to coordinates and suddenly have to realise the shop is too close to the system's (blue) star, and out of reflex I hit the emergency drive.

Just to see this moments later:

I think every single one of you knows what the red light that's rapidly increasing in size means.
Well, sh*t. I start strafing so my point defense actually can get a bead on the missile AND to get the hell outta there. Too late, I take a hit, bye shields, and guess what, I drift right into the firing arc of the next missile turret:

I don't think you need a lot of imagination what happened next (yes, that's another incoming missile. And my ship had only basic hull Also notice the green blops that are my point defense turrets blown off by the first missile)

Alpha Pirate Stations. Rapidly rising kill count since 2014

Are your PD turrets beam turrets? That would explain a lot.

No, the beams came from the Alpha's beam turrets. My PD turrets are cannons, but remained silent for some reason. Maybe the missile was in their blind spot (they are side-mounted, and that ship only has 2 of them)

    How about this...
your working on a new build idea. You've got a great idea, you spend countless hours on it trying to finish it. you finally finish it, you go out into the universe to test it, and you take damage. But oops you forgot to save the blueprint. Now you have to try and poke around in build mode to repair your ship so you can save the blue print. :(

you'd think I'd learn, but no

hmm forgot to resurrect this topic every so often.

Ran into the new pirates on Aetherion and needless to say I need a full auto nova bomb in worst cases if not careful. XD

I came to your call! :)
Once in my early days on the old launcher, I was experimenting with the push and pull and stop effects, and I wanted to see how strong sop effect was. My basic setup was a ship that was all power and thrusters, I would fly to max speed(500, this was on sp), then jump out and get into a ship docked to it with 5 block beams with 100% stop effect. Keep in mind that I had friction turned off.
When I jumped out, I flew over to the smaller ship and undocked. Little did I know that ships stop moving when they undock! In 2 seconds, my little thrusterblock was a sector away:eek:! Even though I had 3:1 thruster ratio on the small ship, I couldn't catch up, the other ship was at max speed!

To this day, I still use that world, and the one little thrustercube is probably in another galaxy by now.

Working on a logic gun to fire missiles really fast during an autosave and suddenly everything in the viscinity starts loosing chunks really fast like a wave of nothingness is passing through the sector, cue "Aww hell no!"

haha this is great. I wonder if you could find it's location by checking the network stats (F7 i think). Maybe it's colliding and providing a small amount of lag you can trace.

Second NOPE moment: Shattered Skies server, Chckn Wildstyle just set up the (back then) new custom pirate waves.
I go for my usual pirate farming trip, with a 60K mass Leviathan-class battlecruiser, equipped with 40 point defense turrets. When I saw the name (Basilisk) and mass of the 6 ships spawning in on the nav, I knew I was in for a hard time (the ship he used in the first Blood and Steel tournament) and I was right. Let's say that 5 minutes later, I was missing most turrets, but I gained quite a few new holes in return, as I was limping back to my homebase, with a muted mic so people on Teamspeak couldn't hear me cussing in my native language.
