Develop as a dedicated carrier system for drone deployment, the Black Star is light, agile and has a number of defensive systems to accomplish this task. The ship is a dedicated A.I. platform designed to ‘break apart’ when needed.
It accomplished this with a layered design structure:
- Carrier capacity of 32 drones for space superiority.
- 4 ‘wings’ that can be detached and act as missile drones.
- Main body equipped with beam weapons and AMS drones.
One of the main design decisions behind the ship is that’s its very light. Just under 12k in mass. This means it’s also very cheap to produce for a ship of its size. Basically a ‘throw away’ design that does as much damage to a target as possible before it is destroyed.
