The Pathfinder-class is a class of fast scout corvettes based on the Hyperion-class primary hull.
With it's priorities switched from offence to long-range scout duties, the Pathfinder mounts a new, long-range chain drive (thanks to Jaaskinal ), powerful new thrusters with afterburner, and a small material sampling salvage array.
It is able to dock to the Hyperion dock on the Watchtower-type Outpost.
In addition, it has a redesigned cockpit that can comfortably accommodate two, as well as a small living space behind the cockpit.
