I did tinker with the idea of making a 7x7x unknown length power supply unit which had it's 9 main groups all cover the entire dimensions of the entity.
a little backstory i shared on reddit:
it activates when docked and deactivates when undocked... the thing with this psu is i just build it to see how much power a 7x7 base with unknown length could produce when all 9 main groups are made to extend throug the entire length height and width of the entity. turned out to become 14 blocks long... then decided time for a new tutorial. but what to do with this mass of reactors? turn it into a psu ... so not claiming it is very clever or stuff like that actually the shield is way overboard but i had to fill it somehow right?
Now while doing that i recalled lots of people asking for how to properly build power in starmade.
so i made a tutorial about this as well.
