The Mighty Megazord

    The Mighty Megazord 1.0

This! This is what the Megazord is supposed to look like Hollywood! I dedicate this build to everyone who wasted their time and money on that terrible new Power Rangers movie.

Enough ranting... here it is, The Mighty Megazord! That's right, 5 separate ships that transform and dock together to form a legendary giant robot in Starmade. I feel like I just won the game.

    HOW TO USE THE MEGAZORD
step 1 - Undock all zords with the buttons located in the tyrannosaurus core room. They're all labeled and there is a "launch all zords" button you can use.
step 2 - Use the transporter to go to each ship. Set up the faction module and make sure to inherit thrust on each zord.
step 3 - Create a fleet containing all 5 ships with the tyrannosaurus as the mother ship.
step 4 - If the fleet ships don't already have pickup points, manually fly them to the pickup rails to dock them (they transform automatically when they dock/undock).
step 5 - The "shoulder missile" inner ship remote is linked to 2 wireless blocks which need to be linked to the mastadon's shoulders (there's blast doors near the armpits with the recievers inside) if you loaded the tyrannosaurus and mastadon seperately. If you load the entire Megazord you can skip this step.

And that's it. You can now launch the zords and watch them transform into dino form then hit the "Morphin' Time" inner ship remote to morph the T-Rex manually. Then to form Megazord again just hit the "Morphin' Time" remote again to morph the T-Rex and issue the "carrier recall" fleet command. The other 4 will dock, transform and move into place all by themselves.

There is a small potential issue where the pterodactyl and mastadon head can colide when moving into place and they get stuck. If this happens just hit the extend button for one of them for a couple seconds to move it out then hit the button again to retract it.

This project cost me six months of my life and the last lingering thread of my sanity. I hope you all enjoy it.

Holy crap that is AMAZING! Any chance you'll ever be bored enough to take a swing at Voltron?

Probably not. I'm not playing much Starmade these days and this project took a few months back when I was playing Starmade almost every day. If someone else wants to build Voltron I'd be glad to lend a hand with rails/logic but I don't want to build the whole thing myself.
this is a really amazing work i just see him now and for me is the best use of logic system i have ever seem in starmade !! great impressiv work starboy ^^
I love it! While I can't say that I'll ever fly around in it, it is show-accurate on the exterior (as much as starmade allows) and rail-shenanigans are a harsh, harsh mistress, so excellent work.

Glad you like it. The rails and everything were definitely a challenge on this build. The worst part was I built this during a period when there was a bug which could cause all docked entities on a ship to become locked up permanently so I'd often lose an entire day's work. It was maddening but once it was all finished and I got to see it form the Megazord the payoff was more than worth the grief.
Great ! More than great ! i wish i had half your talent with rails and logic and a quarter of your tenacity for keeping at it 6 months...

Honestly, the rails and logic weren't the hardest part. Getting everything to fit together properly was trickier since docked entities can't clip through each other when they move. The hardest part by far was figuring out how to move the mastodon's head to become the shield. The toy had joints in all the same places as I have rails except the head was just plucked off and then placed in the hand. It took me about a week to find a solution.
freaking awesome dude... thats a championship winner rail master piece of all times! you can say it louder but not more clear... you have beat the game GJ

Thank you. The great reviews I've gotten so far have made the months of work I put into this all worth it. I can't believe I still only have the silver rail badge though. If anyone knows where I go to demand my gold badge let me know.
I am grinning so hard right now, i cannot wait to play around in it! epic build dude!

I'm glad you like it. While morphing into the Megazord is the most amazing thing these ships can do, having the five separate dinozrods fight some pirates as a fleet is also quite fun to watch.
Bruh, just bruh. The inner child in me is running around losing it when it morphs...

When it was finished I did the full morphing sequence like 50 times to make sure it was 100% perfect. It made my inner child smile every time. My inner engineer still can't believe I got this thing to finally work.
That Thing makes me appriciate the original Megazord i have layinjg around somewhere, thank you.
    Also, Dragonzord next?

I actually based this on the toy. I wanted everything to fit together properly so the toy worked better as a model than pics from the show would have. I'm planning on working on some more traditional ships for the next little while but I want to do the Dragonzord eventually. I'll probably lose some sanity trying to figure out how to move the Dragonzord's tail and chest plate to form his spear but it can't be much worse than figuring out the mastadon's head. One thing I will be doing in the near future is rebuilding the entire Megazord onto a single core and posting it as an empty hull. It won't split into five ships or transform but it'll be lighter and have more room for shields and weapons making it a proper match for other ships of roughly the same size.
Great job, congrats! - I appreciate both the engineering efforts that you put into this project to make it all work properly, and you also seem to be one of those builders who puts in some extra effort to keep things all clean / tidy / neat / orderly / elegant, and that is something I value very highly. I always aim to achieve that in my own projects, because I have some OCD and everything that avoids chaos and messyiness is on the top notch for me. Good job :-)

Thank you. Building this required every ounce of my OCD and mild autism. There was a ton of trial and error involved in this and it went through several prototype phases to get everything to move properly and fit together. The hardest part was figuring out how to move the mastodon's head to where it becomes the shield. Once I had everything figured out I redid all the logic to make it as streamlined and glitch resistant as I could manage. I still need to redo the logic room on the mastodon to add button controls instead of toggling WiFi blocks and to hide the timers but I'm going to put that off until the new power system when all the zords will need an update.
    This... This is awesome!

Thanks. This is definitely my best build to date in Starmade and I'm really glad people like it.
