THE FUNCTION SELECTOR - 10 or more functions in 2 buttons!

THE FUNCTION SELECTOR - 10 or more functions in 2 buttons! v1.3

    Game version
Compatible with both old and new game versions
Ever felt that it's kinda weird that taking control over our ships means magically disappearing (when using the core block) and giving commands to the ship basically through telepathy?

Ever felt that it would be a nice roleplay feature to be able to both control and monitor your ship without breaking immersion, by doing everything from the pilot seat, using a nice, compact, multi-purpose control panel?

Then search no more; this system will do the job! ;)

This blueprint contains a simple proof-of-concept ship equipped with a "Function Selector" system.

The part that you will be using consists of only 2 buttons and an interactive display between them, while the part that makes all the magic possible from behind the scenes is all properly labeled with detailed and clear explanations.

    1) HOW TO WIRE UP A "STEPPING CIRCUIT"
(note that the first flip-flop and delay pair has to be On):

    2) INTERFACE AND ADDITIONAL IMAGES
(note the little movable triangle on the main display
    and the "activation status indicators"):

Thank you for sharing that link. Your posts about displays seem really advanced and useful. I will keep your thread in mind for the next occasion when I will try to set up a menu system in a future ship or station. Thanks! :)
