SFRU Mako

    SFRU Mako 2018-08-17

    Game version
    v0.201.any
RP oriented fighter, (made for the UENSA project), thought I tried my best to fit it to be usable a bit (I still lack experience in combat ships), but canons are still weak compared to beams so it it's not a very strong ship.

The weapons are all in the brown tube on the front.

But it's equiped with various systems like a rail airlock, landing gear and a radio using the 4 bit RK with 3 antennas on top of the ship (the three wireless blocks).

    -----------

In the 24th century, humanity was in full expansion and the Solar Federation, core of humanity, needed to setup a new research body to explore the frontier of the known space, and so the Solar Federation Research Unit (SFRU) was founded. That body was putting various outposts far in the galaxy to observe and to monitor what was beyond.

To get to these stations, far away from colonies and warp gates, or to scout around the outpost, the Mako was created. It's usually lended to scientist and personnel. It have an upgraded FTL drive that allows to jump huge distances at a time and 2 quad blasters to be able to get away from pirates and others menaces that creeps in the void. It's also equiped with 2 tractor beams to pick up things laying around in far systems.

Let me start this review by saying I love the design/look of the ship, something about it just looks really neat! Exploring the ship I like the logic work you have for both the doors and the screens inside. There were a few flaws which if I had the option would give this ship a 4.5 stars. Some of the flooring stops you from reach certain spots in the ship and a few spots on the exterior of the ship could use a little bit more detail but that's just me nit-picking at things. Overall nice work!

Thanks man! I'll take your advice in account for a planned future version, with a more military design.
