This is the first in a soon-to-be series of various miners by the illustrious Porex Corporation.
The POREX_MINER_1-OHU (Overhaul Update) is an upgraded version of my more rudimentary design of my very first mining ship the POREX_MINER_1.
It remains consistent with my favoured (hallway chain docking) design, which looks pretty cool when side-by-side with the IES-Elevate. When initially building this I didn't realize until completion that it ended up resembling Optimus Prime's head from Transformers, so I nicknamed it 'Accidental Optimus Prime' lol.
It has Salvage cannons about 10-12 deep, interlaced between two computers. The thrusters glow red, and has one jump drive.
This looks great as a sturdy, industrial-looking type beginner ship that can always be re-purposed as a large drone or cargo carrier. It currently boasts 11,000 salvage storage, and although the interior has "all its parts showing" I quite like it that way and allows it to feel like a ship you'd use as some corporate miner pawn munching on asteroids close-by your capitol ship or station.
I know the IES-Elevate's handling is really messy, but this was before I started confusing myself to learn other systems so the handling and power flow is much better in this ship. I'd recommend retrofitting it with scanners which I never put in.
It drives like a heavy hunk of metal with thrusters shoved on it, and I like it that way since it adds an RP element to how it handles without ruining its efficiency to its simple function
-Here are the stats-
Size: L-29 H-15 W-17
Power: 193, 571 (13,486/sec)
Shields: There's minor shields, enough to get away (Sorry already logged out!)
Speed: 258. R-M 1.2
Rotational: 1.9,1.9, 2.5
HP: 115,490
Enjoy and let me know how it works for you or show me cool ways you've re-purposed it!
