Hey guys! Markus_McCloud again, and boy am I in a great mood! This here is the next UGPD base I've created... Well, maybe calling it a "base" is a bit misleading. What I've actually uploaded is a warp gate!
Not just any warp gate, though; this one can be opened and closed from the control tower! Here is a picture of it with the gate locked.
And here is the same picture with the gate open.
Here's a photo of the inside of the control tower. That Activation Module is what controls the forcefield barring the gate.
There are four AMS turrets, two on top near the control tower, and two on bottom near the Shield Capacitor tank.
And this right here is the source of my good mood; this is perhaps my best turret design yet! There are two of these guarding the station, and they have full 360° movement on all 3 axes! It's armed with quad Punch-Through machine-gun lasers and quad Ion beams.
In hindsight, this may not be the best picture for scale. I'll have to change it later...
Here's the control tower view. As you can see, the window is placed low enough to give you a good view of who's passing through.
LORE: The WG-06 "Galahad" Warp Gate is the primary means of long-distance travel for the UGPD. Unlike most warp gates, this one can be locked at a moment's notice, preventing usage from criminals. These are open for public use, but non-police personnel who wish to use it must first pass a basic background check.
