    {fast acceleration & turning \ powerful long-range intermittent 60-beam salvaging battery (better efficiency than continuous beam) \ decent shields for survivability \ enough power generation for full simultaneous activities \ radar jammer to hide from pirates \ "bug out" jump drive \ easy to refit salvaging components & armor \ good automated performance in AI mining fleets}

Nugget is a great starter mining ship. It mines well for it's size, is fast and turns well and has enough protection for short unfriendly encounters. When all else fails - there's always the "bug out" jump drive.
When you have collected enough resources and are ready to move on to bigger & better mining ships - don't be quick to discard your Nugget:
It can be assigned to a mining fleet and you can have it accompany you like a pet & help out with asteroid clean-up on mining missions ! :)

Nugget is a mining - salvaging vessel & is based on the same powerplant & hull as Nucleous (an agile robust fighter).
Although Nugget is not a combat vessel and it lacks weapons, it does boast same shield & armor system and maneuverability unladen as it's combat cousin Nucleous !

Nugget contains a 33k cargo system to haul all those mined/salvaged goods. For salvaging, unender works decided to go with a somewhat unconventional choice:
    a
60-beam 1013-block salvaging array with a slaved damage beam (690 blocks, 68% efficiency). This means that the beam is not continuous (as in the case of a 1:1 slaved cannon system).
Although a continuous beam might be more comfortable to use, alas, it is not as efficient as a pure salvage beam or slavage-beam damage system.
(*2 corroborating competitor shipyard tests TBC)
Current salvaging set-up allows for greater resource collection, taking advantage of more than ample supply of ship's power.

Besides improved efficiency, Nugget is capable of mining at distances of over 2,200 meters away! (longer than a salvage-cannon continuous beam). This becomes especially handy when trying to mine asteroids that are in the damage area of energetic stars. Volcanic Inner Belt Asteroids, containing Tekt, Mattice Shard Raw & Jisper Ore are often within such locations. Mining those asteroids from a distance & away from harmful star damage was deemed preferable to risking damaging your ship, or using more armor for such cases.

Just as its cousin ship Nucleous , Nugget is outfited with an efficient, yet relatively unobtrusive ESU powerplant consisting of 12 groups of reactors, each reaching all 6 sides of the ship. It allows for weapons to span the ship from back to front.

At each side entrance is a thick door clad in armor grade forcefield. An additional feature of Nugget is a automatic gravity system that will turn on and off as you pass through either entrance.

    Enjoy :)

This is a fantastic ship! Excellent mining ability, relatively cheap, exquisite aesthetics. Very handy. I just started Starmade this weekend and have made a few basic mining ships. I was able to spawn and deconstruct the Nugget to learn how salvaging with slaved augmentations work. Thank you for making and submitting this!

You are very welcome, I'm glad to be of use. And Thank You for the review :)
good job re-working the Nuclueus concept

Thanks! I actually built power & shell first & then worked on Mining & Attack versions separately. I actually made the Mining ship first :) CheerZ
Nice little mining ball... I imagine a group of these can literally vaporise entire fields. And I suppose a group of these on the move looks great xD

5 stars. Cause, you know, there are only 5 of them.

Wow - Thanks! :) I did try like 3 or 4 of them in a mining feet - it's cool watching them move and readjust position & angle - and they mine just fine. Good for clean-up if you're also mining manually with a bigger miner :)
