Inconsistant weapons choice for its role.
Far too squishy for its mass.
Lack of protection for Aux components.
Lacks firepower to preform well in any scenario against an equal or even smaller sized vessel.
    Unessicarily huge entity count.

    2.5/10

Although I will give you credit for it being one of the best 500k ship on the dock, but that doesn't meant anything considering almost all "PvP" builds on the dock are gargage in general.
Looks very cool, usually poptart looking ships don't strike my fancy but this worked out very alright. Probably the best ~500k ship on the Dock for people looking for one of those. Against the average or worse player you'd likely do alright in pretty much any situation.

    Against anyone else? Not impressed.

According to you it's meant to hold down and destroy capital ships, not necessarily brawl with them, but it didn't do either with any level of success. It doesn't survive long enough to "overwhelm and kill". It's not fast enough to be remarkable and it doesn't utilise it's OD in a way that would be helpful. Meagre stop weapons and a modest jump inhibitor can hold it in place without much difficulty. The lack of shields and armor means it's incredibly vulnerable to almost any level of hostility directed at it. The shield regen is par for the course, but alpha will - and as you can see, did - turn it inside out. Point defense against missiles is barely pushing noticeable - reduce the size of your turrets, maybe dock them off of the hull, and reduce your entity count. It hurts servers when stuff undocks.

As mentioned before, the lack of any sort of aux armoring means a single hit can be catastrophic. At least put a layer of advanced or blast doors around each group.

Firepower is lackluster at best. Too much pilot armament in sizes that would have just been better as turrets, especially in a ship this size. Even with its fairly good turn speed for such a high mass it's not turning fast enough to catch people, and the lack of proper turret armament hinders it further.

    That said, it's still probably the best large ship on the Dock as of today (July 1st, 2017). To "elevate it above other combat vessels of its weight" it needs significant improvements, namely;

    1) Armor your auxes. Doesn't matter how, it'll survive much longer with any level of armoring.
    2) Give it a docked hull and a bigger JD, or settle and give it more shield cap.
    3) Move firepower from pilot control to turrets, and improve collisions in turrets. Self power them.
    4) Manual stop system. Dunno why an interceptor of any sort wouldn't have this.
    5) Bigger scanner. 18,000 isn't sufficient to unjam someone who wants to stay that way.
    6) Kill a swarm computer. It's going to hurt you in fleet operations (which would be necessary for a ship built like this) more than help you. Save one for anti-drone duty, reduce overall size, and give it a tertiary.
    7) Use saved internal space for more shield cap or armor.
Aesthetically nice, very mean & dystopian looking, love the iconography on the side. Has some lag issues, spinners inside it should probably be deleted (whatever they are though they look pretty cool), turrets could use replacement for both collision reduction & to improve their dps, they should also be fully self powering.

Player lock ons & cannons are mediocre at best, no matter how good you are with them the AI is better, total weapons contribution is pretty good, however uptime is bad due to being majority player fired (waiting for locks, fishing for cannon trajectories, big waste of uptime..). Not enough AI directed damage. Overall fairly slow to kill targets for its weapons count & mass rating.

Auxilliary is vulnerable to chain reactions due to the single layer of reactors between each group, as well as only using single layer thing groups meaning splash damage will emanate from a location only a single block from another aux group for every single explosion in the event, its a guaranteed chain reaction. The extra reactors past 2m are a poor BHP buffer and very inefficient as power, looks like some kind of composite power template was used. Never useful.

Either thrust or shield capacity should be drastically increased, you may think 79k thrusters on a ship this size, or 40m shields is sufficient, but it's more like indecisive, both could honestly be superior within the same hull with far superior damage and power efficiency, i suspect a lower mass was initially planned for (stick to these estimates as closely as possible right from the beginning).

As has been said a bunch of times here, quite strong for a community content ship, a 5 could be said to be a fair rating because it helps those players interested in pvp or at least self defence on survival, find the most serviceable capitol ship of this (now alarmingly common) scale on the dock, which is just what this is.
But from a pure functional perspective, it has its share of issues worth rectifying to fix this otherwise impressive vessel, or at least noting for the sake of future projects.

tl;dr delet spinners & do power stuff better
It's by far the best combat ship of its size on CC, but that's not saying a whole lot. There are a host of confusing design choices in the weapons systems. The entity count is far too high for something not shooting for an extreme meta "everything is docked" type build. Still a great ship for a person with no systems experience in desperate need of a 400k.

Coming from you this means absolutely nothing. Maybe if you read more into the description you'd understand the purpose of a capital destroyer interceptor, the design deliberations in systems were made well before I finished the shell. If you think the ship is weak, show me another sub 350 meter ship on the dock with a main gun of the size on the Salamis,

Everyone seems to have a problem with its lack of a shield buffer even though its not a front-line tanker, again see the description to alleviate your confusion. The majority of PVP ship uploads are cancerous as fuck. I dare you to do better.
have plenty of critique, but 5 stars obligated for being strongest smd pvp ship. looks cool too.

interior is viable on pvp ships. costs maybe 1-2% block efficiency done right. doesnt affect rating since it wasnt your intent.

dps and defense are both low for its mass when compared to high tier pvp ships. its hard to perform catch and kill on a similar mass, well built ship without exposing itself to the opposing ships weapons, which can very quickly become lethal or crippling... particularly if enemy ship has high chainable alpha to overcome regen tanking.

still, this assessment would be withheld if the ship werent as strong as it is, cause it wouldnt be worth typing. =D

The ship is designed to perform under the stress of sensor jamming, you will need time to learn to micromanage the power since so much of it is being shunted to the thrusters 46m e/s out of a total of 60m e/s. The shielding is low to accommodate the stupid amount of thrust to get this ship to even closely make use of its overdrive capability. It will overtake any other ship its size. Keep in mind that expectations are to be kept in check. Its not a light ship and its only fast in straight line. This thing operates best when you pump way more into rotation then linear thrust. It makes the ship a better turn fighter in return. Learn to surprise people, like the description said its an interceptor, its not labeled as a frontline tank. Mobility over defense to this end. Ever ship has a purpose, if you're looking for your average brawler, the Salamis aint it.

Positive reviews are not allowed, by order of the god emperor I sentence you to die for your lack of constructive and/or additive criticism
This ship looks amazing and preforms even better. My only complaint is you classified a 4 million block ship as a destroyer. We have classes like Titan, Dreadnought, and Mega-Doomer for a reason. Ok, Mega-Doomer isn't really a thing but this ship has made it a thing in my mind.

Thanks for the review, the ship classification chart I run by classifies this ship as a destroyer based on length. The nature of its purpose and mass/spatial geometry ratio makes it an Assault Class. Believe me when I say that the day I make a dreadnought it will be so heavy its gonna shift tides on nearby planets. I will not make a titan since the game doesn't support the wants and needs I have for the class.

Under-classifying is just what I do, it future proofs my sizing scheme for whatever stability improvements the game may bring allowing me to push further in my fleet design.

To emphasize, you need to think bigger. Don't get stuck in a mentality that limits you. Ive seen 180k mass ships that stretch to a kilometer, Now you've seen how you can cram half a million in under 350 meters. I like fat and bulky ships over the needle/estoc that flood the content dock.

Better than pretty much all other SMD ship I have seen so far in terms of PvP potential.

Nothing else of note, looks decent, would probably work well, it is a 500 something k mass ship when turrets are included though.

Thanks for the review, always aim to please and the lack of ship actually worth the title PVP vessel was duly lacking on the category. When it gets down to brass tax you cant make a combative build without near completely forfeiting interior fluff. Personally believe this hits the mark when it comes to a decorated brick that doesnt suck over some of the doomcubes ive seen pass that perform worse. Shields could have been better but since its a destroyer interceptor I made to choice to favor the ability to overtake other ships speedwise then having a massive tank. The ship issnt meant to slug, its meant to overwhelm, kill and pull out of combat.
Holy mother of destruction. This ship is nightmare fuel in the best way. Lord have mercy on whoever has to go up against this monstrosity.

I am the person they warned you about in sensitivity training. Hatred and destruction of the fabric that holds your mind in a state of sanity produces ships like this. Rape of the soul and hatred for everything that's wrong with Starmade. I aim to offend and confirmation of this fact encourages me to make more ships of this nature.

Im glad you liked it, thanks for the review
Man your ships have gotten "darker" in recent months. But i like it.. Looks like we have the new king of ass kicking here!
