Note: The serrated blockiness has been fixed, alright. NEW IMG
    NDR Orionis Heavy Frigate
The first Frigate and complete medium ship coming from SF... er NDRS, this ship is mainly based on forwards firepower and taking hits for a fleet. Designed to have decent speed (140 m/s), the Orionis will make a good front-liner and a good squadron/frigate fleet command ship. Coming with 6 size 9 nukes, a large main Gauss cannon (CNN-DMG PUL-PUN TRU) and 6 size 9 long range missiles, enemy ships will have a hard time closing in. But it is not defenseless! It comes with 2 machine-cannon turrets (size 10, 90 percent piercing) and 3 AMS turrets! Its hard to board (fac module in bridge, core in mid not bridge)

    It has the following:

    • 5 Sentinel AMS
    • 2 Whirlpool ASB turrets
    • 2 Stormbird Missile ASB turrets
    • 1 Main cannon
    • 6 size 9 sniper missiles
    • 6 size 9 nukes
    • 360k shields
    • Decent jump-drives
    • Scanners
    • Adv Armour
    • x1 USB DOCK
    • Large Cargo Space
    • 140 m/s speed (good acceleration)

    Version 1.1 update

Looks better (more wedges in places)
    Engines look better
    Simply, less boxy and serrated

    Version 1.2 update

    Added 2 more AMS (underside)
    Fixed cargo storage issue
Added 2 Rapid Fire Missile Turrets (underside)
    Added rail mass enhancers
Changed power regen from 201k to 217k
    Increased thrust from 137 m/s to 140 m/s
Added wedges in interior (stair wedges though)

I have to be completely honest I don't like this ship and feel free to rip my content but my content was intended to be terrible lol, honestly I think that you could improve so much if you just accept what others have criticised you for I'm not going to flame you on this just take a little time just to improve if not on this design then the next...

i did. its not me whos reporting thier reviews
Best ship ever to exist, supreme power generation, shape is top notch, GODLIKE plethora of weapons ranging from exterminatus to Halo ring universe purging.

Has more RP than Skylords Infinity and Super Stardestroyer combined. The captains chair is taking inspiration from the devine book of design itself. This ship made Dalmont quit the game cause he realized he will never reach this level of brilliance.

Cannot recommend this enough. We are but mere mortals to the status of this builder, Give this man Master Builder Gold already.

In my personal opinion this is still the worst ship I have seen in 2016. Here's the forum mandated list of by law obligated constructive critisism to not get deleted:

    - Run reactor lines down the length of the ship to optimise regen
    - Find a shield balance of 1:1 cap:recharger
    - Lower the captains chair by 2 layers so it can see out the window.
    - try to make a hallway connecting the core to the cockpit
    - download some prefab AMS turrets by Gmodism, yours cant look all the way up. or redesign them to improve performance
    - try to bulge up the front of the nosecone, it can house much more shield that way.
    - a single missile uses less energy then multiple outputs, lower the output amount and beef it up so you get more bang out of your buck
    - the engines are a bit square, create relief edges using various slab thickenesses to increase the sleekness of your ship.
    - Learn from others by copying and intergrating tiny details, watch streamers and download random ships from the dock. It helped me and will do the same for you.
    - Get a sketchfab acount and upload ships as models, it will attract more people to download them

    Noted. (XD)
I just write because some guys don't understand the bigger picture and use some expeptional high standards when they review: This is freetime and talking bad about some creative work an author did is out of every measure. Ofcourse you need improvement suggestions and hints what guys don't like. But guys who just say "this ship is bad but I don't explain you what exactly" should burn in hell imho.

I like the unique style and effort you put into the ship. For the improvement of the systems I would not care too much. Ofcourse if you like doing such stuff do it. Personally, I would focus on designing in Starmade and stick to some easy weapons like missile-beam with cannon beam, maybe cannon-cannon if you make it so they don't shot your own missiles. The other combos may make sense too, but there is not so much pvp on the Starmade servers that I wouldn't care for making some sophisticated system too much.
Apparently my last review was too harsh and got removed so I will be completely unfeeling in this. This is a generally a terrible ship and I would not recommend anyone use it. It requires an incredible amount of work just to make this ship worthy of being used as a ballistics gel as it neither has the shielding nor power required for it. The weapons are abysmal and the looks are just as bad.

yeah i really need to improve the systems on this thing
Fuck the haters. You did good, and a hell of a lot better than some of the stuff I've seen on CC. You and your ship have some serious potential, keep at it man! I can see you producing some absolutely beautiful ships very soon.

    holy shit its flying debris!
To be honest, i need to learn how to efficent power. luckly my next build will have said efficient power (lets hope i dont die tomorrow)
Power generation setup is terrible. You could easily triple the power generation with the exact same number of blocks and without changing the ship's design at all.

A ship this size could have ten times as much power generation if you were feeling ambitious.
    Ultragamer2000
    Ultragamer2000
By using a more efficent power setup?
Im not really good at those but i'll try
Now it certainly has been improved a lot.
The pipes add a nice element to it and you have smoothed the jagged stair-like edges around the ship making it look much more professional, much more like a spaceship.

The cannons at the top: nice touch with the hazard armour. I admit that the mattise crystals do seem a bit out of place, but they are not that notable as there are other parts of ship which now draw the eye.

The orange-blue sides contrast well with the yellow hazard armour.

A small edit: at the frontal cabin, avoid steps in favour of having 'slopes'. Easier to walk up those.

The checkerboard pattern at your guns down at the bottom of the ship doesn't really fit with the overal design. Maybe try stripes or 'groups' which are shown and 'groups' which are not, as this checkerboard stands out negatively.

The entrance tunnel to the ship. Double the doors.
Also, you should consider a small turret on the bottom of the ship as all your turrets are on the top.

Finally, where is your storage block? I noticed a lot of cargo modules in the central part of the ship but I do not see a storage block? If it is the store you have called 'shipstore', then it is not linked as that only has 100 cargo space (i.e. no cargo links).

To conclude: some decent improvement, it is good to see you took the advise to heart. A few more minor edits and the ship will really be quite good.

    Aannndddd... (mostly) fixed
    Storage fixed (not hidden anymore)
    And other stuff too
    Very helpful. Thanks.
    It is an intersting start.

The back of the ship with those large boxes on the sides could really be evened out to be less boxy.

Also you capture a very nice idea with this cross breaking apart the white and black but I think if you used more wedges to make the curving away from the frontal glass, you could put more emphasis on the glass, and less on the serrated edges. (If you do actually want serrated edges, I would recommend use of inverted corners or wedges yet again, as they look harsher and are more effective than just block building in cubes).

At the back your engines are sticking out a bit too much. Try to edit the white platform at top and bottom to be a bit more...impressive. Perhaps a different shape from just a plain 'ceiling-floor' idea. use of wedges and some asymmetrical designs would really help in that regard. Perhaps some flowing wedge line/pipe going across one line and connecting to engines?

The engines themselves with the cross is good. If you want a personal opinion I would make it have some wedges in the central area so that it looks like there are circles within the large blue compounds at the back. This is only for aesthetic benefit so not necessary if you feel it will not suit style.
Something like on this flag: http://img03.deviantart.net/e1c7/i/2014/307/8/6/scotland_celtic_cross_flag_by_althistoryguy-d720uqt.png where you have circle around centre of cross.

Now the frontal 'tip' of the ship is quite nicely made with arc between the tip and the rest of ship. But this arc is inter-broken with lots of serrated steps. Use of wedges and other shapes could even this out and make it more pleasant to look at from below.

Finally the two boxes on ship above the logo to each side (small rectangular boxes with yellow lights)....I do not think they are necessary. Seem out of place.

To conclude: ship has lots of potential and with some additional use of wedges, corners, tetras (or slabs if you really want a contrast to be visible without wedges), you could make the ship even better. I look forward to re-reviewing the ship after it has been updated. Good luck!

    Ahh a good insight
Most of these issues have (tried to) been fixed (i think)
