Yet another content post, I've got more of these to come I assure you.
Because fleets aren't all governed by large, powerful ships, sometimes its the little guys that have the most effect.
This is the KDI Havoc-Prospector Light Miner.
While it most definitely isn't dirt cheap, requiring advanced armour, damage beams, and a number of weapons computers for its AMS and light defence turret, the Havoc-Prospector is cheap enough to mass produce for lease or sale to civilians. A veritable "Starter Ship" with 490 salvage modules, and some beam slave to kick the power of the salvage up to the point that it mines a block every 3rd salvage tick, with its 21 outputs, this miner picks up 1400 blocks every 7 seconds. For its size, the Havoc-Prospector also carries an Over-clocked shield generator and Jump Drive, for barely 550 mass, it can jump 1 time every 22 seconds, and has 60,000 shields. Enough to defend it from pirates.
It doesn't carry tons and tons of cargo, carrying 7.5k capacity compared to the 10k of its Hauler-brethren in the Havoc IIC LH (As found here: KDI Havoc IIC Dropship and Light Hauler )
The ship is equipped with a small version of the standard Hover Carrier for easy moving cargo on/off the ship where rail pulling isn't available... Although, this vessel is NOT very well equipped for planetary landings, more designed for asteroid mining, and taking its resources and dropping them off at a refinery.
The light defence turret is a Beam-Beam-Overdrive that has the same range as a default cannon. Against shielded targets it wont deal all that much damage, this weapon's strength being that its been built to counter the upcoming, shield-less Scavengers. The hit-scan nature of the weapon means that it nearly never misses its mark on the hull of a Scav, and will pierce 1 block through systems, so kills 2 blocks per tick. The vessel even has a scanner to "conveniently" search asteroids and nearby ships for any approaching Scav.
Disclaimer
You MAY use this as a starter ship on servers, etc, so long as claim of creation lies with myself.
By the time you are able to build this ship, the usefulness is likely long gone and you will have more powerful ships to use as miners.

As for typos, I think I was falling asleep a little as I was typing away. Google Chrome notifies me of typos with the red wavy lines, they should all be fixed now, not that there were many.
