Halo Valkyrie Transport

    Halo Valkyrie Transport Release

    Game version
    v0.200.334
    Valkyrie
    To the Heavens and beyond.

This is my implementation of the Unnamed Transport which is seen at the New Alexandrian Spaceport on Reach, from the game Halo Reach. The paint scheme comes from one of the ships which was sitting in the port waiting for launch.

I spent quite a bit of time tying to make this ship as aeshtetically accurate as I could to whatever reference material I could get my hands on. I also loaded up the ship with lots of logic functionality to make sure it's completely viable for RP. The only thing that isn't accurate would be the fact that it should be able to hold a minimum of 600 passengers while mine only holds 492 and 2 Pilots. I could expand one of the seating sections which may in fact happen in the future, but for now this is what I've got to share with the world.

I also took the liberty of naming the ship which according to everything I was able to look at, doesn't have a name. I chose Valkyrie since in the game it gets shot down and all 600 persons on board are killed. While they did not get a warriors death, it still seemed fitting in an ironic way. Stats

    • Articulated, Rail-powered Landing Gear system
    • Articulated, Thrust Vectoring system for In-atmosphere travel
      • Rails are angled to provide thrust plumes towards the ground
    • Window Shutters for ALL windows on the ship, cockpit excluded
    • Three position lighting control through the ship with a display shown in the cockpit
      • OFF, DIM, and BRIGHT positions, toggleable through logic
    • Logic driven Main Cabin Door for entry/exit
    • Articulated, Logic docking system for Cargo Containers (5 max)
      • Logic for jettesoning cargo containers attached to the ship (located just aft of the cockpit)
      • Logic for arming the Container loading system. (The containers will space themselves appropriately when in place and once all 5 are loaded, prevents re-arming the system - which would make them jam up)
      • Rails also automatically unload internal cargo into the containers as they are docked.
    • Logic driven Emergency Exit doors (4) with built in Logic Safety.
    • Logic driven Gravity system which automatically enters/exits crew/passengers boarding/disembarking the aircraft.

I'd be interested in taking a few requests for individual paint schemes if people are interested. I just ask that you honeslty review the ship if you do.

    • Clean up empty space around systems.
    • Adjust/fix some logic
    • Possibly add Shields (the ship is for RP, therefore none were installed at all prior)
    • Add more seating

Forgot to review this even though I downloaded it on release.

This is a phenomenal recreation that really stretches the limits of what a builder can achieve in Starmade. I've never seen a build so faithful to such a small an unnoticed ship. What's doubly amazing is how original this build is; I'll be damned if there's another transport on this site as packed full of detail and logic as this one.

This is possibly the most underappreciated build in this game's history.

Thanks, that means a lot! I like to try and have things packed full of goodies for people to enjoy in most of my builds.
