The Download:
The zip file contains two versions of the craft:
1. Regular version: This version has all of the original effect ratios and stats for this craft, and is intended for player use. Two sment files are available for this variant:
Core Access Instructions
1. Enter the cockpit via the glass door canopy.
2. Go beside the rear seat before closing the canopy.
3. The core is tucked behind the armor hepta, under the faction module.
The Challenge:
"Sat 11th: Advanced Fighter (Not to exceed 400 mass and must have passive effects and jump plus weapons and shielding. Turrets are fine)
- Your common strike craft. The quintessential hallmark of your fleet. Most of your attacking needs bundled into one package. Scale it down or add to it as you like but the main thing I'd like to see here is something multirole. One swiss army fighter. Have fun making other variants for specific jobs. This first one just needs to be able to survive and even flourish in nearly any situation. Not an easy build for most." - Warsong's April 2015 Build Challenge
The Ship:
Reference: F-14 Tomcat
Classification: Multi-Role Aerospace Superiority Fighter/Interceptor
Description: Built to be the most versatile and advanced trans-atmospheric fighter, the Falcon is capable of far more missions than either the Raptor or the Hawk, with a warp core for independent travel over great distances. Built-in electronic countermeasures and advanced radar systems allow it to carry out reconnaissance missions, while its plethora of weapons open up surgical strike and aerospace superiority assignments. Its advanced Synchronized Air-Breathing Rocket Engines and afterburners combine to grant it more sublight speed for interception of enemy spacecraft, and an ionized shield system provides superior protection.
The most notable of its armaments are the two large cannon pods on the wingtips. Each carries a higher-caliber version of the armor-piercing semi-automatic cannons sported on the Hawk, with one gun having more destructive potential than two of the latter's.
Slung under the wings are the rest of the arsenal: Various self-propelled guided warheads to fit any mission parameter. Furthest out and closest to the guns are clusters of heat-seeking ship-to-ship missiles, noted for providing the means to handle multiple bogies at one time. In the middle lies the laser-guided missile pod, armed with the same weapon as found on Raptor's and Hawk's chins. The pod closest to the fuselage holds high-yield neutron bombs, designed for blasting apart large stationary targets such as bases.
DANGER!
Pirates have acquired a prototype of the Falcon-class fighter, and have rolled out their own modified version of the hull. Not much is known about the true extent of the threat, but what is known is the replacement of the ionized shield generators in favor of more power-stable standard shields, as well as the use of enriched warheads in their laser-guided missiles and ionized particles in their heat-seekers. Pirates in this new fighter are extremely dangerous, and the utmost caution must be exercised if you come into range of one.
Pictured: The "Jolly Rogers" painted model.
Since I used the F-14 Tomcat as the base for this ship, it was only fair to acknowledge such by painting one in Jolly Rogers squadron colors; their F-14 pics popped up in the Google search.

- Falcon-class_Advanced_Fighter: The standard unpainted version
- Falcon-class_Advanced_Fighter_JR: A tributary painted model, added because of the reference base for the fighter's hull. It has identical stats to the standard model.
