WHAT THE HECK is going on with shields!?

So I'm constructing this monster of a ship. I've shielded part of it. the shields have positive integ. I shoot it for like 15 secs with my hand blaster, and this is what happened. All the damage you see is in shielded portions. Could someone explain what is going on?

When i cover my shields with other blocks this doesn't happen.

from the screen i cant really see what you are doing there ... except that your reactor runs at 400% load or something like that.
are you even sure those shields are powered at all ?
are you sure they are stable enough to not just blow up when they do get damaged somewhere ?

Sorry. Didn't see your comment. My reactor was fine. When I started shooting my ship with my blaster, the shields with positive integ exploded. Then apparently that hit my protected purple pole and caused what you see. I don't know what happened, other than this is a bad bug.
