My largest ship is only 450 ish meters that I've personally made, a few I've refitted have been bigger.

so, I just started a project to build an impossibly big ship. 7400 m length * 3201 m width * 801 m height

I started wire-framing just the back section (600 m long * 3201 m wide * 401 m tall) and copy-pasted the ends of the back b/c I only bumped my build config up to 200 m. Needless to say that copy-pasting 1/4 of a 200 m long cylinder crashed my game immediately.

However, once I finish it (probably in about 3 years), I do intend on posting this server-crasher on Starmade-dock.

WARNING: (probably preaching to the choir) If you do decide to upload this to a server, only have one on the server. This thing will probably end up completely indestructible due to its sheer size.

7km long? Sorry, but you'll never finish it if you want it to look any good. You should seriously reconsider before wasting your time and getting burnt out from the game.

You likely won't be able to spawn it on any server.

Here's two of the biggest hand-made ships in starmade (note that not all the chunks are loaded cause it exceeded the 20k limit):

• Bottom: Vengeance (from startrek into darkness), being built by the members of the starfleet faction.
• Middle: Charon (1.3km long, original). By me, still being built.
• Top: Silmaril (340 meters long, original). Also by me. It's the ship in my signature.

I am sure that is bigger than those dimensions.

But the ships I posted are both over 1.25 km, with the biggest being little over 1.5km long

In terms of what the game is capable of handling, I would say going beyond 5 km long has the chance to break anyone's computer.

I spawned in an imported model of the Aeon from EVE online. You'll see a screenshot of the ship as well as one indicating where I was. This ship not only couldn't be loaded in entirely, which is expected, but it also started to glitch out pretty bad. It would flicker in and out of view. Eventually it crashed the game. Even if it isn't rendering the ship, it is still doing physics calculations. I'm betting it could have bumped into an asteroid.

So how big was this in total? I'm curious.
