Weird EOFException critical error, cant log in

So, whenever i try to connect to a server i get an critical error, saying EOFException critical error, and i cant connect, when i try singleplayer, it just stays at the connecting status thing, and it doesnt connect me at all.

Any help greatly appreciated!

could possibly be a firewall/security program blocking starmade

yeah, it probably is, im gonna dig around a little, avast is known for its strict firewall, and i used to have the same issues with LoL, the thing is idk what to do about it, but i know for a fact that for some reason i can run it perfectly fine in safemode, so if anyone has any suggestions, i would really appreciate it

I\'m still having this problem. Did you do anything to fix it, or does it go away on its own?
