So I though of an idea.
So. I use these torpedoes. They exploit the AI's algorithms (attack at 47 block range if unarmed)
They go to the range, and the area trigger launches the warhead. I notices that this system shouldn't be too hard to be equipped onto a fighter. They are small, quick and deadly
Very deadly, shield ignorers
Though I myself haven't tested these things out, they look perfect for AI. Just get a short range but not too short range weapon and a area trigger area that is far enough away. Now you have an AI torpedo bomber
Or you can use inner ship remote... and make a powerful railcannon
