Each Faction should have home worlds great distances away from each other but they should use the spawn as a neutral ground for meetings and such no warships shuttles only no heavily armed vessels maybe 2 strike escorts per shuttle. Also Each faction should maintain colonies for resources shipyards and to use the planets to create a pseudo economy. These are all ideas but i see them as neccesasary to mke it worth the time to leave out mark to make it our own and take it too the next level.Thank you guys for taking your time to use this.

How about we make a place in the faction where you submit blueprints/screenshots (Meaning that they can be private if you want) of the current 40k ships?

This would not only give an overview of what ships dwell around the 40k universe of Starmade, but also give the possibility to make images of the total scale of ships in the faction (Thus avoiding some cases disproportion). For example:

Personally, I like the gothic-style (Necrons) and demonic styles (Chaos Space Marines) and sometimes Eldar, but Tau and Orc not that much. I played a bit \"Dawn of War\" / \"Dark Crusade\", but some time ago.

Server settings (I prefer high speed/dampening until we get FTL/Gates...), also to encurage diversity - not bigger is better.

Yes, I prefer medium ships over large ones. They should just be big enough to have a decent look. Are you seriously making 5km ships? Then I guess it is not the right server for me.

Assuming that ships will be scaled, probably 1:2 or 1:4. The game cannot handle larger ships currently.

The image was just to show an example of what I meant. There\'s no specific rule about the scaling yet. Why don\'t you propose one?

1:4 scale seems reasonable. All of the ships would still be large, but not as lag inducing as 1:2 or 1:1. Imput?

as for wh40k, i\'d love to see the possibility of space marine NPCs in the future. it prob is possible

Does somebody know a good ship-overview? Something like a wiki for Warhammer ships?

Until norton on my laptop decides that the Internet isn\'t an evil think that needs to be brutally murdered with a spatula I am going to be playing a lot of sp, so I might have a go at a few 40k ships, if I participate, it would only be as a builder, though.

If you like, I can set up an Enjin for our use. You would of course get adminship of it.

Also, at 1:4 scale, battleships are still 2km... Maybe 1:6 or 1:8? That would leave cruisers around 200 blocks long, a respectable size IMO.

What I would personally do is let everyone build without restriction of proportions but with a restriction on size (to whatever the max size for a lagfree experience is).
