Though we only recently reorganized our company into the galaxy\'s premier source of beaky yellow-and-black space ships, Vecordean Fleetworks has been around since the 1800\'s, when our founder Johann Von Vecordeanfleetworks started selling his patented Glowing Mystery Effluvia Jam to his fellow townsfolk. That jam built and empire and that empire stands before you today, posing as a mild-mannered maker of war machines.


In further news, posts on this thread will be a bit sporadic for the next week or two. Progress is still being made, but getting the forward hull of our cruiser JUST RIGHT has taken three revisions. We\'re pleased with how it looks now, however, and progress shall continue at a steady pace. We\'ll post a picture or two when we\'ve completed the basic outer shell, which will, hopefully, be sometime this weekend.

Interesting Fact: The glowing blue stripe running along ou ship\'s center-line is actually just a generous smearing of our patenented Glowing Mystery Effluvia Jam. Turns out that when exposed to the vaccum of space and charged with various arcane science-magicks, it creates a dimensional distortion useful in ship defense. We\'re uncertain (and completely lackadaisical) about the exact mechanisms at play here, but as far as we can figure, it redirects both radiation and kinetic energy to various locations in parrallel universes. For some reason these locations are always rooms where innocent children sleep. We\'re pretty sure it vaporizes them instantly. Oh well. Those parrallel universes can suck it.

Seriously, though, it may surprise our dearest of customers that the VFW is not a faction, nor do we engage in any factiony goodness. No, friends! We are not addicted to conflict, we simply benefit from it, support it, and enable it in any way we can.

To that end we offer no alliances and no non-business partnerships of any kind to anyone. Then we\'d have to share the money and the aggregate of suit-beings that slumber, nameless, formless, gibbering in languages that no sane being may speak, simply have difficulty getting behind that concept.
