    There's already scarcity in the game. Really useful things like shield capacitors are hard to source the materials for.
    And... now even that has been "corrected". Excuse me if I may sound a tad disappointed.
    This thread has so many great ideas, would be a shame to let it go to waste.

    Yes I agree! Resources should not be evenly distributed by chance, they should be evenly distributed by force by a big giant communistic empire that spans the galaxy!!! The Union of Soviet Socialist Star Systems!!!!!!

    That was a bug. In no way, shape, or form am I asking for anything to be rare all over the galaxy, at least not any of the thing required to make the blocks we have now; ideally the total amount of each resource should end up exactly the same. Having one thing that was extremely rare everywhere was a pain in the ass, though to be fair it did make for a pretty good currency.

    Yeh, it's good news...

    The thing is, this is one of the few suggestions (mine or otherwise) that I really wish we didn't have to wait to get. The game needs a boost, and this would make for at least half of one; the other half is something to actually do with our ships, but I think that's already coming very soon.
