Bug Turret Dock Extenders failing to work?

I am attempting to use turret docking extenders to make a dock for my turret, and the box is malfunctioning. The extenders only want to go in one direction past the 7x7x7 starting point, it seems. I have extenders on the x axis 10 longs, extenders on the y axis 4 tall, and on the z axis 8 long, and yet the green box is a 7x7x16. Unless there is literally no other fix beyond disabling the box, please don't say that as a fix.

May you post a screen of the module + extenders?

The extenders have to touch each other, and the docking module itself must not be part of the line.
