Update: Due to game changes the bulk of the Carcharadon line has become obsolete, and is being retrofitted. As updated versions of these vessels come off the drydocks download links will be posted below, along with links for new TDIS ships.

My name is Vandred (props to those of you that get the reference), founder and CEO of Triple Diamond Industrial Shipyards (TDIS), and I welcome you, potential buyer, to our maiden post!
We are a small upstart company that nobody knows or cares about except the number of workers that owe us their lives and souls for saving them from their not-so-belevolent overlords (looking at you Vecordean). But we hope to change that by offering a variety of new ship designs for purchase. To that end, I proudly announce the release of our new Carcharadon line of fleet vessels!
As the name suggests, Carcharadon series vessels are designed to be sleek and predatory, offering their owners the ability to oust pesky pirates from friendly systems with ease, defend themselves from said pesky pirates after they've been pestered, and generally keep themselves high and dry as they prepare to move on to bigger and better things (things built by TDIS, of course). The Carcharadon line of ships are designed to be asthetically appeling in addition to practical, combining reasonable performance with fabulous looks. And to top it all off, Carcharadon vessels are cheap! This makes them perfect escort vessels for small scale mining and salvaging operations, motherhips for new pilots just starting out, and cannon fodder for shady, penny pinching organizations that are willing to spend a few lives to save a few credits.
With that in mind, take a gander at the first vessel in the Carcharadon ship line:
TD-C-5 Mako Class Corvette
Now before you all go running to the nearest shop, let me offer some information about this vessel. As you can see, the Mako uses a standard hull, making it one of the most affordable ships in its class. While this makes the hull less resiliant, the powerful shield arrays that line the hull of the vessel keep it's survivability within acceptable standards. It features a powerful, nose mounted AMC supplemented by a pair of large secondary cannons in the wings, offering it substantial forward firepower. These cannons have a blisteringly high reload speed, thanks to the abundance of power modules placed throughout the hull. A large engine block at the rear of the vessel aided by secondary thrusters in the wings gives it good speed and manuverability, but some pilots might find it wanting (a variant with an extended engine block is being considered). As a result, pilots might find themselves drifting off target while engaging in combat manuvers. Fear not, however, for the dorsal mounted turret can keep fire on a target with its three AMCs as you come around for another pass. In addition to its armament, the Mako features a nose-mounted salvaging cannon to assist with attaining the spoils of your inevitable victory. While not as pretty as the exterior, the Mako also features a roomy, well equipped interior to assist our more claustrophobic customers. To top it all off, the Mako comes equipped with a whole 5 cockpits, providing insurance that you won't need to pilot from the ship's belly. While not as stunning or massive as something you might find over at the Royal Equestiran Shipyard, the Mako should provide a versatile corvette that virtually anybody can afford. Have some stats:
Length: 53m
Height: 13m
Width: 24m
Mass: 322.0
Armament: 3 AMC; 1 Turret (3 AMC)
Shields: 53036.0 (1980 s/sec)
Power: 20000.0 (45015.4 p/sec)
Thrust: 460.4
If these numbers aren't good enough for you, the Mako is roughly comparable to the Adimo Demeter Heavy Corvette.
Update: The Carcharadon line of fleet vessels is largely completed, and new TDIS projects are revolving around the much more cabable, and much more expensive, Legio line of fleet vessels. Details can be found lower in the thread.
