Because i prefer orange.

I\'m making an alternate pack, one of the changes is reverting the orange back to brown.

Edit, On the relistic packs page i have added version history. The download pages now shows which version of starmade the texture pack is working with. I will update via blog posts (home page news feed) the new versions and planned updates.

It\'s not hard at all. It\'s as simple as loading up Photoshop, (mac) ?+U, then moving a slider a few units.

So why haven\'t I?

Because i do this in my own time, for free, for the community and ultimately for myself.

I am not here to fulfill the whims and demands of individuals.

Am I really the only one who has actually noticed this and fixed it?! I pulled the texture pack directly from the dev build and I had the same muted textures and inaccurate overlay positions. Every single video I\'ve seen that shows damage in starmade collaborates that this is a global bug, although the muted textures seems to be limited but easily fixed when the overlay textures are done properly to how they are currently coded, which is probably the part that is wrong and not the texture packers interpretation of the files provided.

Wait, how did you fix that? I really hate the way those textures are all washed-out-looking by default... besides that, it all looks good.

Yes, this will be dealt with.

Although my textures are now in the game, it does not mean the \"texture pack\" i relased will be slapped into the game as it is.

There are a number of additions and fixes to be made.

EDIT: and as for the first 3 examples in your image having a grey overlay and washed out colours / poor contrast... nobody else has experienced the same artifact to my knowledge.

Not a stupid question at all.

The cartoon pack is in the dev build, as their is a new drop down menu in the launcher to select different packs. The textures i am now supporting and pushing further in offical development are the \"realistic\" ones.

Potentially, but ultimately it is undicided. (personally i would like to see it again)

There have a been a vocal minority against such things.

So it would be genuienly interesting to see if pipe or conduit blocks are wanted / enjoyed by the larger population of players.

Even if very few people want them, ignore the ones who dont and add them. They can just ignore them and we get pipes :P
