Templates?

I am confused about templates. (the things used in the LOAD option on advanced building) I noticed a person on starmade who makes the BEST SHIPS EVER uses templates so I tried to download his templates but now I do not know how to add them to the game! I really wanna use templates it would be very helpful! (I am a very bad builder) So anyone know how to add templates to starmade?

If they are a .smtpl file then you can place them in the templates folder and start using them immediately.

^Does he mean the templates or the thing where you can stretch out a shape?

I looked at the starmade folder and cannot find a templates folder

You might have to create a template in-game for that folder to generate.

that only means you havent used templates yet.
- jump into build mode on any ship
- under advanced build mode mark an area for copy and paste
- hit save and name the new template
- now there should be a template folder with the newly created template
- copy other templates with the same file extention like yours into that folder and you can use them from inside the game

well now the templates are too big for the server! how do I fix that?
