Hello Folks, I was wondering if zoom/ magnification could be added to the Camera Block or New Zoom Lens and maybe a live feed seen on the Display Screen Block so that distant objects can be seen by shipmates or passengers simply using scroll to zoom up 6x similar to the mechanics of the Sniper Rifle Optics . It can add some immersion to space travel, defenses and recreation.

Id LOVE to see this in game, also as an enhancement for the camera as such so you can zoom in while piloting.

It can help you differentiate objects at long range, also you won't have to go point blank to check them out your self potentially making scouting and reconnaissance more interesting.

Yes please something like this is needed. Maybe it could act like the flashlight currently does, always on and at a particular setting until you scroll over to it and change it.

They can double as security cameras to be used on Ships and Bases as well and maybe they can have Spectrum Filter Blocks similar to glass blocks or something that allow you to see UV and Infrared light( seeing players in the dark) since we already have Black Light Blocks.

I'd like a zoom function, but only for sniper (Cannon/Beam, Beam/Beam) weapons, as this would add a unique use for them.

If your suggestion is good and people think it is good, the devs will end up seeing it, and it will be added if they devs like it. Tagging the devs on matters of suggestions is obnoxious and is you demanding of privileges over others, that being the privilege to skip the trials of the suggestion forums.

Completely agreed here.

OTOH, this is exactly what Councilors (like Crusade) are for.
(and I just picked Crusade cuz he was in Lecic's sig.)

Councilors are elected community representatives who volunteer their time to act as an information pipe between the players and devs.
