    The ship configurations are definitely focused around RP and although some would want to always build every aspect of their ship, RP also allows for professions and a player based economy. RP qualifications for ships will also make it easier to have larger spaces within for things like bunks, bathrooms, mess halls, bridge (command center), etc. These are the last of the tweaksing we need to do as the administration part of the server. This and mission modifications (when Universe Update comes, we want to see the goodies they have for everyone).

    Quick question; Are there sector specific laws? Like some factions ban the use/ownership/transportation of certain blocks like weapons? Just asking as many of my ships are built with hidden compartments for smuggling, it would also add a new spin to the RP

    I've been developing some ships to bring to the Rp here is my latest one; I updated a downloaded design, can't remember who the original author was

    Chassis: Caitlin Class MK I (C-I)
    Model: C-I/G-I (Galaxy Class MKI)
    Desc:
    The antique Caitlin Class would not look out of place in a museum, However, as the Baalites began their genocidal campaign drastic measures were needed, thousands of these near historic ships were brought back into service, however, two-hundred year old cargo ships stand no chance, many were jerry-rigged with new technologies, most of the time these quick upgrades were incompatible, new fuel cells caused overloads, jump drives caused fatal torque in the unshielded chassis.
    Some however worked, one of the most successful was the Galaxy Class MKI , by sacrificing the secure cargo bay, the rear turrets and missile cannons an FTL jump drive and shielding was installed. The old C-Is traditional Cold Crystal generators were powerful, but to fit the requirement of charging a jump drive while moving a completely new system was developed: Hot/Cold Stasis fusion, two gigantic Nacelle generators were added to the outer hull with two smaller ones at the aft.
    Due to the unstable nature of this prototype the Jump Drive charge had to be limited to a slower charge to avoid a catastrophic overload of the new power systems that would completely destroy the ship.
    No upgrades were made to the weapons, the outdated weapon systems leave much to be desired and serve more as an illusion of danger rather than an actual threat. Although the ship is a powerhouse energy wise it's shields are also substandard, however it serves as a great cargo vessel as well as boasting a full 8-Man communication/operations deck, flight control centre, jump core room, bridge, 12 crew bunks allowing for a crew 24 in alternating shifts plus 1 more in the captain's cabin. Aside from transport/S&R this ship can easily be converted to drone transport or to beam power to other ships in a fleet, this will allow for fleets of ships with low power outputs to have more efficient jump drives.

    Desc:
    The MP-UCF-7 Raptor is a relatively new design, born out of the needs of human survivors. A 582586 credit investment, the Raptor is a jack-of-all-trades chassis that can be refitted according to a customer's needs. Twin RapidX turrets provide impressive cover from large caliber missiles, while a powerful AGXMN laser allows the vessel to cut through rock like a knife through water. A series of radium tubes running along the walls of the vessel provide incredible amounts of power that allow the AGXMN to be used constantly.

    Development of the Raptor started when pilots across the system increased demand for an affordable, yet customisable and comfortable ship in which mining operations could potentially be carried out for an unlimited amount of time. A conglomerate of companies rose to the call, beginning the MP-UCF project. The frigate would have to be cheap, but allow universal customisation to take place without hassle. The project was plagued with problems; Expensive hull plating often dragged projected costs dangerously across the limit, nearly bringing progress to a halt. However, a single engineer found the solution; Inexpensive, cheap Tekt plating. This new affordable plating resulted in plummeting production costs across the board, while still being sturdy enough for deep space travel.

    During the final stages of development, efforts to include a jump drive were halted in fears of price hikes; Therefore, Raptor captains desiring FTL travel must take matters into their own hands to improve their frigate with one.

    Current public reaction towards the Raptor is positive; Its friendly design and long operation limits make it a miner of choice for civilian miners near protected sectors. However, the shielding and weaponry is far from military-grade, and Raptor crews should always attempt to avoid conflict whenever necessary.

    What might the beings who watched the cradle of Humanity once thought? Were the humans much more than ants under their observation? A pulsating ado and life on a tiny ball in the galaxy. But humanity didn't stay on their ancestral home, they went out into the unknown with the firm hope of a better life, of adventure or profit.
    If you open the history books you will read captivating stories of pioneers and the hardships they had to endure before finally claiming a lush paradise world for their own.
    But this isn't a book and everyone knows the race into space was not only one of the big colony expeditions but also one of the small splinters, the outcasts or poor, those who landed on planets by accident or those who only tried to hide on them.
    Sarah Flandry hailed from such a world, no, world would be to flattering. She hailed from a Rock, living in the twelfth generation after her ancestors crashed into the asteroid belt and like hundreds of other children she grew up in the tight passageways they carved into the rocks to survive. Harsh condition breed harsh people and the Republic of the Chain, as the dozen inhabited asteroids called them self in a fit of megalomania, was one of the harshest places to grow up.
    And while their were bottlenecks everywhere, from energy to water for the artificial greenhouses, their was one part of the Republic which could indulge in all wasteful ideas it fancied: the Chains armed Guard.
    The title fit, then the Guard couldn't even call one battleship their own, only small armed fighters used to control the trade.
    But at the same time they were of utmost importance with the fixed anti-ship batteries the Republic build all around itself to have a firm shield against the ever present threat of the pirates who attacked them again and again.
    Growing up in the Republic, with a rigid command structure binding her since her fourteenth birthday, Sarah does not care for the life of men, but for the Quota she has to reach, no matter if it was in the production of new weapons and ships or in the alertness and training ratings of the fixed-defenses she had commanded.
    But all this didn't help when the Republic reached the end of its natural resources and the already harsh rationing had to be decreased once again and the people went on the streets/hallways to show the government their ire.
    In this moment of heated threats from all sides of the political spectrum the government called the military for help and as Captain of the closest formation, Sarah lead her men and women against the demonstrators to defend the rightfully elected government and as it showed she even went so far to give a shooting order as demonstrators tried to break into the Senats chambers.

    One thing lead to another and the demonstrators of today became the government of tomorrow, the hero of the hour was made into the butcher of the Republic and headed for execution.
    But as times have shown, the honor of the regiment prevailed and so Captain Flandry (retired), found herself in a small military ship and thrust out into the unknown.

    Nice ship, but it would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay nicer if you used more wedging and paneling to smoothen the hull. Plus judging from the generator wall in the 3rd pic, the powergen could be improved greatly. Finally, perhaps you should consider using Overdrive to make your jumpship even more mobile (Overdrive increases max speed up to 2x.)

    The design isnt finished yet, these are just inital consept pics, im affing the final touches tonight, i didnt add overdrive as it increases the cost and the power gen is supposed to be less than perfect for RP reasons

    Ah, I see. However you should still try to optimise power gen if you're using this ship on this server, I believe that power generation speed was decreased greatly on the server. Anyways, good luck with your build. I just finished wedging up my own ship and now it's a ton more expensive somehow, I'm going to check tomorrow.

    What I would wish for, would be a chat for the game which one can use additionally to the game as whispering, [] brackets and the limited amount of letters you can write in one message are breaking the flow of RPs in my opinion, not sure if anyone else sees it like this too.

    Class: Medium Vessel
    One of the most versatile craft created by the Terrarian empire before their fall at the hands of the Baalites, this ships large power output, fast charge jump drive and large empty halls allowed for complete customisation, from militarisation to colonisation this vessel was used for everything you could think of.

    The two main engines produce enough thrust for move a battlecruiser twice its size, the four Warp/Propulsion hybrid nacelles were added as part of an upgrade to the MKII, the power they produced allowed for a more efficient jump drive and additions.

    My suggestion would be to leave a lot of empty space in your ships, if you are allowed to import them. The settings for power and thrust are so vastly different from stock you'll be struggling to fix it if you make it tight as possible. (For example, I had a ship at 800k e/sec power gen. In this server, it barely broke 70k).

    So take it with a grain of salt if your ship doesn't perform very well when first built.

    Jordan had a normal childhood. When he let home, he went out into space seeking to make a name for himself as a starship builder. Though like with any profession after several years he got bored. He took one of the ships he had built and decided to take it and set out on a new career path. He decided to become a travelling merchant, hoping such a change would bring some exciting adventure for him.

    Jordan began to sell things throughout the galaxy, dodging pirates and hostile aliens alike to deliver his goods to his customers. Even avoiding the authorities or sneaking past military blockades a time or two. Jordan had no gaulms about trading in illegal goods as long as the trip was exciting and he got paid in the end. he was quite content with his life as he sold goods across the galaxy and was well on his way to getting rich. Though like many a smuggler before him, it wasn't to last.

    While on his way to deliver a food and weapon shipment to a blockaded planet, he was set upon by a passing partol. After being scanned he was ordered to hand his goods over and allow himself to be detained and arrested. Fearing that he would be locked away in a dark hole for the rest of his days, he decided to turn and flee. Though to his surprise his persurers quickly caught up and began to fire upon his ship. Though they had attempted to disable his ship, the accidently struck his ships reactor causing it to explode.

    Well building a small ship, maybe find a place to get materials and eventually become a merchant/smuggler.
