I was having problems with FPS and memory around planets so i updated all drivers, ensured java was not using the integrated card on my laptop and downloaded java 64. While using Java 32 i was getting 250 FPS in open space and 150 around space stations and somewhat lower around planets however on Java 64 im getting 150 in open space and between 10 and 50 around large structures. Im not exactly tech savvy but should Java 64 increase performance? These are my specs from dxdiag like i said not tech savy so if any additional info is required let me know. Any help would be appreciated

How much memory have you allocated? In the first SM menu, go to memory settings, give yourself a hardy portion.

Welp, make sure you haven't allotted more RAM than you have available.

Thanks for the reply. I tried setting my Memory to my Java 32 settings which are 1024, 512 and 256. With those settings on Java 32 im getting 250 FPS but on Java 64 im getting 150 FPS with same settings. Really ive tried all kinds of combinations of memory i still get between 10 and 150 FPS on Java 64 no matter what.

That is weird! .. normally the move to 64bit should improve performance.

could you put graphcisinfo.txt and log.txt.0 from Starmade/logs and settings.cfg from starmade into a zip and add it here ?

a log.txt.0 file while running 64 bit would be nice.
i have no idea why it is running better with 32bit to be honest :/

The Log.txt files are both identical and they are from a start of a game in 64bit java.
And they are not from a normal game termination (they end without the usual saving and closing of stuff)

There is a newer Driver Version for your i7 graphics available at intel i think. as long as it works you do not have to update but keep it in mind just in case.
    Your version is 8.15.10.2455
    The intel page has 9.17.10.4101
That is if i am not wrong there

Well turns out i was accidentally getting those files from my backup copy of the game sorry about that. I think those files were from when i was getting the 100% load crash bug. These should be the correct files sorry about that and thanks for the help.

Ok the Log file is of a 64bit game session in singleplayer ... without any big warnings or problems showing (or at least i have seen none by scrolling through it)
The Grafics info shows a newer driver for a HD 3000 (i7 as i do believe)
I will take a look at the settings as soon as i can ... maybe there is some thing in there that tanks fps hard somehow.
