Suggestion for Hyper Drive

    You should have a hyper drive added, the jump drive is different it is a minimal traveler and we don't get to see that nice texture of the jump Tunney.

    Hyper drive information:
    The hyper drive should have that same texture of that jump drives tunnel.

    The hyper drive can stay in the jump drive tunnel for as long as the player wants.

    People can walk around in there ship whilst in hyper space / the jump drives jump tunnel.

    The hyper drive needs to charge up before launching.

    When the hyper drive is activated / ready to launch it opens a hyper space window the ship goes in to, That will activate the texture the jump drive has for its jump tunnel.

    EDIT: The more time you spend in hyperspace the hyper drive will use more and more energy until the player / the ship comes out of hyper space. Thank you questorhank.

    If the ship is damaged to a critical level it could slowly melt away.


    Hyper space window:

    The hyper space window is like a portal to hyper space / FTL area.

    The hyper space window looks like a blinding blue light with lighting come out the edges of the window.

    Id say it should drain energy instead of exploding after some time. So if you run out of energy, you drop out of hypserspace.

    And, last i checked, the game can't tell between a ship's interior and exterior, so ships with RP rooms/docks would be destroyed if ships melted while they had holes in them. It also couldnt tell if holes are supposed to be there, so it would be either all ships melt or no ships melt.

    But i havent played in a while, so this info may be out of date.

    Hyperdrive is planned. It'll be a Capital Ship System. They'll be an upgraded version of the jump drive. Having Hyperdrive lowers the power of your basic thrusters.

    A simpler idea would be something that increases your speed to like 5,000m/s and make some fancy animations and you couldn't go left or right. Would drain energy. You'd go through any natural objects. Would make everything much simpler.

    But in Star-Made this creates one issue:
    Why do you want to slow down more than twice a trip (3 axis)?

    Are you suggesting that we power space-time distortion by throwing a star into a black-hole?

    Or just chip off a bit of a black-hole and contain it inside part of your ship?
    Oh, he was asking why you'd want to turn more than twice during a voyage. Just giving some examples.
