Starmade needs sub turret points, to use if you don't want your huge turrets pointing at absurd angles. If you use one of these sub turret points the cannon on the sub point only moves up and down while the original turret just moves left and right.
the fact that your huge turrets burrow into the decks of your ship when firing is knd of annoying. the least they could do is apply ship-to-ship collisions with turrets so that they at least stay on deck...or at least make them swivel inside the docking area, probably the first.
If you make the operation of the original dependent on the presence of the sub-unit you just need the one new block, the sub-unit. if sub-turret connected to turret, limit rotation. Otherwise, don\'t.
