Bug Starmade Quits after I click Launch

    As the title suggests, when i click launch game from the star up menu, the process just gives up, i watched in the task manger and the process just goes away completely.

    I am running a 64-bit Windows 10 with what should be a 64-bit java run time environment,
    And I've tried with both launchers, both the beta and the normal, they both do the exact same thing, if anyone knows why star-made is giving up on my computer please tell me, i would hate for this to be a failed investment of my time

    I've also reinstalled Star-Made several times for both kinds of launchers

    is there being a Log.txt.o file created in "starmadeinstallfolder"/logs ?
    if yes .. do remove the .0 part and drag and drop it into an answer here to have a look.

    Along with the log files, can you give hardware specifications of your system (CPU, Graphics Card, RAM)? Do you meet our system requirements?

    MINIMUM:

    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260, 275, 280, 460 SE, 550 Ti | AMD Radeon HD 4870, 5770, 4890, 5830, 6770, 6790 or equivalent with OpenGL 2.1
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 3 GB available space

    same thing happens with me... I've been able to play perfectly fine up to just now, i think because of something that changed in last nights hotfix.
    i run a 32-bit win-10, 4Gb ram, Nvidia GeForce GT 435M, etc. (i meet all further requirements)
    anyways, here's the log

    and the log ends in mid air without an error being logged

    Ok so I recently had a problem similar to this. Maybe my solution will help?
    Solution: Download the zip of the latest release here : Index of /build/

    So here was my problem: I'm currently stationed in New Delhi India which has pretty crappy internet.
    After downloading the latest patch my game wouldn't launch at all. and no logs.
    So I tried the repair option. it seemed to help I was able to get up to 30% loaded before it crashed.
    So then I tried going to the download page and and I used a download manager to pull down the zip. It worked like a champ.

    My only conclusion is that perhaps the StarMade Launcher could do a better job of verifying the integrity of the files it downloads.
    Always make a back up of your StarMade directory before you install an update :)

    and because you are using 32bit OS . make sure to not assign more than 1024mb to the game
    (that will of course bring up other problems, but maybe it will at least start up then)

    ok, so i did both of these things.
    i updated my drivers using Driver Booster, so i assume they are up to date now; no luck.
    next i downloaded the zip and replaced all files in my starmade folder with the ones from the zip, and again the patcher does pop up, but after pressing the start game button, all starmade-related processes just seize to exist.
    the logs are still the same as well.

    Java thinks Windows 10 is Windows 8.1 for some reason. This is what should come after that in the log:

    So it seems to be a native lib issue, oddly there is no error message though.

    Not sure if we have had any confirmed testing on 32bit windows, not sure what would have changed in the last update to break it. I'll go find some to test :)

    I have attached the version from the previous build just copy and replace it.

    Try the fix I posted above, I'm looking into the issue

    Edit: Could you also post the jvm log, it should either be in the base StarMade install dir or also in the logs dir. It should be the most recent file named similarly to this "hs_err_pid13976.log", just to give me some insight into the issue.

    The issues is with the 32 bit version of Java. Using a 64bit version works for me.
    Something with 32bit library of SIMD.

    i want to but the forum says "The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension". even after i put .txt behind it

    I have the same problem, but my screens turn off like its loading the game but then they flicker and turn back on to the desktop. And while that's happening I can see my cursor with the loading circle by it. Here are my PC specs and my log.txt
    Specs:
    Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.8GHz, OCed to 3.5GHz
    GTS 250, 1GB of VRAM
    8GB of DDR2 RAM
    Running on windows 7 64 bit

    make sure you have the latest Nvidia GPU drivers for your card. If that isnt the problem.
    check your java install . latest version here -> Java Downloads for All Operating Systems
    select 64 bit offline version
    if that still isnt working we could try the new beta launcher (uses a bundled java version )
