StarMade is laggy

Aloha community,

i have a problem. When I play Starmade in SinglePlayer it´s pretty laggy. Almost unplayable. But when I play at the server of a friend, I have no problems at all. My PC is not bad and I have installed the latest Java Version. Even friends with PC´s worse, than mine can ran it without problems.

Graphic card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
64bit System
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 550

Make a backup of it, and then reset your universe. May be some large structure lagging you out.

Thanks, but this is not the problem. It´s in all worlds the same. Always.

Turn down your texture pack, turn off emmisives, lower the max rendered chunks, if its on, turn off bloom.

Tried all this. Doesn´t do anything. But thanks tho

Make sure you did assign a reasonable amount of RAM under Options -> Memory settings (Client&Singleplayer)
4096/2048/1024 should be enough as long as you have 6-8GB of Memory available.
If the Game crashes after changing to a higher Memory setting than 1025 you are running 32bit java.

And you 2 Core CPU with a 7 7year old GPU may simply not be powerful enough to run Server and Client at the same time!
