Hello and welcome to StarMade,
The StarMade Universe has grown bigger once again.
Rotational Systems
The Universe is now structured into 16x16x16 sector regions. Every region has a center with a special sector. Once you get near the center you enter the rotational system. Sector coordinates however will remain constant.
Suns
Having a sun in the center means, that there will be high yield asteroids near it. However, your ship will take damage, the nearer you get, but you can shield yourself behind asteroids or other structures to avoid that damage.
Black Holes
Having a black hole in the center opens a portal to another region of the universe. At the moment, the warping is only one way, but two-way warping will be added soon.
Important improvements and bug-fixes
StarMade has once again been refined in many fields.
Foremost, the algorithm for calculating missiles is now more accurate and much faster. The calculation now also has its own thread so other players won't see any lag.
All beams have been improved and fixed.
Factory balance
A lot more factories and recipes have been added.
HULLS
Hulls have been updated. The formula used to be:
NORMAL HULL = 10 Armor, 100 Max HP
POWER HULL = 100 Armor 200 Max HP
NEW:
NORMAL HULL = 200 Armor, 100 Max HP
POWER HULL = 400 Armor, 200 Max HP
Power Hulls also no longer emit light
