[SOLVED] Issue Reinstalling And Connecting to Servers.

    Hi! I've recently got back into StarMade and experienced some issues when installing the game and connecting to servers. Can anyone help

    Installation

    When installing the game the installation suddenly stops at around 86%

    Example above

    I've done every thing I can to restart the installation, for example reconnecting to wifi, restarting adapters and nothing works. Once I exit out and reopen the StarMade Launcher I no longer get the option "Update And Install Latest Version" as it is greyed out.

    I seem to be able to play the game but it leads me to believe there is missing data that was not installed and this is the reason I am unable to properly connect to servers.

    Connection

    I can load and spawn into a empty server perfectly. The issue occurs when I go near or in a sector which has a large base or entity with in it. When I do this my ping locks at around 40 and stops updating. while my Fps (most of the time) stays at a steady 400. Around a minute later I an exited out of the game with the following error.

    The image above show me trying to spawn into the server. My fps is jumping around between 200 and 400. and my ping in locked at 39 and does not update at all.

    It would be fantastic if anyone could help me out here i've tried everything i can to fix this.

    Both of these issue has been solved.
    The downloading issue can be fixed 2 ways.
    Firstly by going into the StarMade file and deleting the file called "version" (which if you're struggling to find it will obviously will be near the bottom if you order the items in the file alphabetically) . This means when you relaunch the game it will prompt you to "Update and Install Latest Version" in which it will install the remaining files.
    Secondly by going to http://files.star-made.org/build/ (<--- if this link doesn't work try copy and pasting it into your URL bar) and downloading a compressed file of the latest version of StarMade which is at the very bottom of the page.

    The issue connecting to servers was I believe the fault of a bug or corruption in my operating system and was solved by going to the star made launcher and running it in compatibility mode for a earlier version of window, e.g windows 8 or 7.
