Hello! After the recent 0.18999 update I've not been able to launch the game past the launcher. I've attempted to go into option/repair and download normal for the latest release. This does not fix this issue. Once I press start game the game closes, no errors, just simply closes. Any thing I can do to get my game back running? This is also the steam version of the game, I don't believe it matters, but it may without me having any knowledge of it.

    Also my Java version:

It did run before without a problem?
What is your hardware configuration? (CPU - GPU - Memory size - anything out of the ordinary)
Are you running a 64bit OS and also the 64 bit Java for it ?
is there a resent log.txt.o file in F:/Steam/steamapps/common/starmade/starmade/logs?
upload that and the graphcisinfo.txt here.

you also could try options&repair -> download normal to repair (just use search currently installed button first)

Same situation as i had. I quess that your game is unable to download the StarMade.jar completly.
Try downloading the StarMade.jar i've linked here, extract and put the included .jar in your StarMade folder (the one where there already is another StarMade.jar).
    That fixed it for me.

I actually tried your fix before posting but to no avail. I tried again just now to be safe but still not starting.

uh ... that is a very short logfile ;)

i think your install is corrupted.
try the options&repair button choose .018999 from the drop down list and do Force DownloadAll &overwrite for full game download

i have no more ideas than that
(other than manual download, but i cant find the link for that just now)

you could try to redownload it from this page using the non steam launcher ... just use a new directory and then copy the downloaded version over to the steam folder ... it cant break more than it already did .

So updating my drivers did not work, but I did re-download the launcher and install in another directory that I made. This worked, I then put that directory into my steam folder and...Tad-Da! Everything is in working order:) Thanks for your help!

Funny. I have the exact same problem, but it didn't start until today's update.

Then use OptionsRepairs in the Launcher choose the current version and try to download normal or force download replace.
Mostlikely the update went bad than. Did you got the update from Steam ?

Nope, standard downloader. And I've tried to repair both normal and forced multiple times. What's even more odd is that when I create a separate DEV installation (which is currently the same build #), it works just fine...

Also this is on my main gaming rig. The current RELEASE build works fine on my laptop.

The universe in your not working install could be corrupted. (wild guess here)
You could move the server-database folder from that install somewhere else (to save it) and reset the universe and try to start then to root that out.
