Have a personal shop that i set to faction only. However outsiders have been able to access the shop and buy and sell items. How can i protect my resources and deny access to everyone but me?

You should give the version you use.
In release and up to 0.133 it was not secured at all, in 0.134 buying from shop is protected, selling to a shop is being worked on.
So in short:
Thank you for the report, but its being worked on already.
