I think there was a list like this on the old forums, but I'm yet to see one on here so I though I'd start one up. Sometimes you just have the space to put something in, but you don't know what. That is what this list is for; room ideas that fit RP ships.
And here the list is:

- Engine Room
- Reactor Core
- Quarters (Officers, crew, Captains etc)

- Operations room: Lesser ship operations are handled here, along with being a secondary bridge in the event that the main bridge is destroyed.

- A shopping area of some sort - mostly to buy things like movies, music, craftwork/hobby materials, etc. Can get away with being a single room with a fabricator machine.
- Athletics rooms and deck. Ranges from swimming pools to downsized indoor fields or basketball courts.
- An indoor park
- Zen Garden
- Movie Theatre
- Conference Rooms / Offices
- Ready Rooms (Next to alert fighters)
- Bathrooms (More than one on big ships and spread out)
- Showers
- Pool
- War Room / CIC (Basically armored bridge in center of ship)
- Turbo Lifts (With new logic and not just vertical)
- Shops
- Barber
- Ship repair bay (Use logic to fire repair beams in all directions around a docked ship)
- Armory (With pallets of unconnected weapons to look like munitions storage).
- Observation deck. 'Nuff said.
- Fountain room!
- Cargo hold (not sure if already mentioned)
- Shuttlebay (or, on my ship, shuttlebays. One large public one and one smaller faction-only one.)
- Observation balcony with a view of said shuttlebay
- Quartermaster's office?
- Astrometrics lab/holomap room
- Systems monitoring room
- Escape pod launch bays
- Drone lab
- Energy core room (Mine is armored, and doubles as the ship core room, but that's just a choice)
- Grav tube hub! You can even have one tube that leads out through the front of your ship; useful for boarding defeated pirate stations.
- Operations room, full of activation blocks for things.
- Multidimensional maze room. With directional gravity, you can confuse the heck out of people.
- -Engineering workshop
- -Fighter/shuttle refueling and rearming station
- -Crane to move cargo or even fighters on the deck
- -Fighter catapults
- -Prison Cells
- -Deck security checkpoints (practically bunkers with gun slits)
- -Stasis Chamber
- -Decontamination chamber (usually a part of airlock)
- -Waste processing, air and water recycling,...
- -Weapon reloading mechanism (missile reciever, ammo belt,...)
