RP Room Ideas

    I think there was a list like this on the old forums, but I'm yet to see one on here so I though I'd start one up. Sometimes you just have the space to put something in, but you don't know what. That is what this list is for; room ideas that fit RP ships.

    And here the list is:

    • Operations room: Lesser ship operations are handled here, along with being a secondary bridge in the event that the main bridge is destroyed.
    • A bar.
    • A shopping area of some sort - mostly to buy things like movies, music, craftwork/hobby materials, etc. Can get away with being a single room with a fabricator machine.
    • Athletics rooms and deck. Ranges from swimming pools to downsized indoor fields or basketball courts.

    • Energy core room (Mine is armored, and doubles as the ship core room, but that's just a choice)
    • Grav tube hub! You can even have one tube that leads out through the front of your ship; useful for boarding defeated pirate stations.
    • Operations room, full of activation blocks for things.
    • Multidimensional maze room. With directional gravity, you can confuse the heck out of people.

    I will continue to expand this as people suggest (I'll give credit of course), or as I think of them.

    Airlocks *facepalm*

    I actually made a bit of a weapon range once, but it was more of a reactions tester. One person activates the plex door, target pops up, shoot target as quickly as possible.

    If you have a civilian station you could make a food court and or shopping area. One of my planned projects is to make a space mall. I think that all ships, even military, should have a gift shop on board .

    This thread and this thread have some good ideas for reasons to have an interior. I like the idea of fielding NPC crew members to run systems on your ship, but in order to maintain the crew you would need certain blocks, like:
    • a replicator block (for food and personal items) - dining hall
    • life support block - med bay
    • holodeck blocks (recreation, so they don't get bored and leave!) - holodeck
    • beds - personal chambers
