Now I know this has been suggested at least once but it would be nice if a method of moving a ship or freight from one entity to another, like from a station to a lift, without having to undock and redock to and from rails was implemented. It would make building hangers or factories much easier as there could be an automated way to move ships from one section of a station to another or from a ship yard to storage so another ship could be made. Another idea that has probably already been mentioned and may already exist is the ability to accelerate ships with the rails so they could be launched at attack speed from the main ship (Battlestar Galactica style).
