Penta Hull Bug

    The penta hull seems to have a bug when oriented in a certain way.
    It has been like that since it was first implemented.

    It's supposed to be a penta, but in the pics, you can see than it's like two merged wedges instead.

    I too have noticed this bug and it's been reported several times on the old site so it should be widely known. It only seems to effect that one direction.

    There are several bugs with the new shapes, the new tetra blocks are shaded/shadowed wrong and the old style corners still like to make blocks behind them invisible.

    Do you think this may also be connected to issue #160? when entire sections of ship vanish? If so I think we have found the cause of both issues... major work should be done to the penta blocks and this may explain all the issues surrounding them. Hopefully if one is fixed they both get fixed... IDK not a dev just adding my 2 cents... eventually if when all pitch in 2 cents we would have $1

    This should be related to:

    Bug #92: Penta Block bug. 7th face orientation.
    For now: it is already fixed in the dev-builds, so next release will have it fixed.

    The "Light" calculation on penta/tetra mixing is handled here:
    Bug #27: Lightning calc on penta/tetra bugged
    This is not fixed yet, but being worked on, it got much better, but there is still a little difference.

    The newest penta bug involves parts of connected hulls vanishing. (Getting invisible caused by pentas)
    Bug #160: Issues involving Pentahedron Placement
    This one is being worked on and known.
