    Hello, Schine.

At this moment I'm on my Linux Machine. It has an old GeForce (More specs bellow) so I play with minimum graphics. Even so I'm able to accomplish some stuff satisfactorily.

After the latest patch I decided to play with the new paint canister models. I believe I found an java exception that I believe that has something to do with transparencies. Never happened before, so I think it might be related to the new Canister and Crystal blocks coming together.

Not sure if its platform specific, OpenGl specific if its java itself. My specs are bellow, also, here's a Screenshot:

PS: Using the game launcher with its own java. Also, game set to 8GB RAM.

Could you upload the logstarmade.0.log from yxur starmade/logs directory right after this happened?
A complete stacktrace will help to identify and fix the problem.

Sure! Thanks for helping, although, to be honest, I believe my case can be easily dismissed, if you want, as "unable to achieve the Minimum Requirements for the game".

I'm using a GeForce 9400 GT. I believe that's related to my card. I noticed that there's an impossible lag if I enable Framebuffer. Maybe its a DX11 or OpenGL feature that it does not have. From what I read the 9400 GT Only supports OpenGL 2.1.

Also, by the way, Without Framebuffer the game is extremely dark and I'm only able to build by enable the "Lighten mode".The drone light does almost nothing to help.

Now expanding on the topic of the bug itself, It seems to pop-up when Im holding any of the new 3D light rod or paint canister on my hand!
Its a JAVA error that vanishes my mouse until I chose "continue" or "exit". It also affects my whole GUI of Gnome3. I have to exit the game by continuing and then clicking on the windowed mode X to kill the game.

By the way, here are the logs. I think its shows up on the end of the file.

    Kind Regards,
    - Ricardo

Looks like it should support OpenGL 3.3 (The driver states that and also the manufacturer page confirms it.)

Our current min requirement should be OpenGL 4.2 (dated August 2011), we have some backward compatibility options built-in and it may still work with OpenGL support older than that.

You may try to disable all the GPU intensive options.

    - Shadows off
    - Procedural Background off (not GPU intensive, but memory intensive.)
    - Anti-Aliasing-Samples to 0
    - Bloom off (Slows down many older video cards under Linux, not so much with recent cards, no idea why...)
    - Amount of chunks drawn should be below 1000. Try 750 first.

I assume you have those settings already, but just in case, it may help to avoid running out of video memory and crashing.

"Classcast" is a shader or behaviour error in the driver, but in many cases, it helps to reduce the load.

thanks for the quick feedback AndyP .
    I will follow these tips.
I can somewhat mitigate this issue by not using those superfulous components for the moment, since its nothing critical in my builds... the funny thing is that it does not affect the bars or light corners just the canister and rods.
