Bug My Inventory has Reset

So have just started running my own server and had been spending a bit of time on it. Had just finished up mining an asteroid and made my way to a shop to save and log out. when I came back on the next day everything in my inventory was gone that I had worked on, but I was still at my ship and still had the basic starting equipment plus my blueprint with all the blocks that I had put into it still listed. Really not sure what has happened as it seems to just be me that it has happened to. None of my friends have encountered this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

are you sure you didnt change your login name? (causing the character to spawn with a fresh starter inventory) - i doubt that is the cause
are you running the game server localy ? - maybe a problem on file access when exiting did happen (heard about that in conjunction with steam installs or windows user permission stuff)

Hi SmilingDemon, thanks for the quick responce and sadly no its not a name change, did check that as the first cause. But I am still in the same place as when I logged off with the blueprint I had been working on. The server is being hosted through the guys at The Smelter but I do have access to the server files if there is something that can be done there?

slightly clueless then .. sorry.
it does sound like some sort of file corruption happening on save/exit.

i point Andy at it .. maybe he knows about that

Think I might just be a massive idiot. I have a block storage item in my inventory which has apparently absorbed everything in my inventory into it. Though surely this can't be a normal item to start with right? is this some kind of admin item or a creative item? Sorry in advance for wasting your time on this question, just me being a muppet and not looking at my inventory hard enough.

ah .. ok .. that is caused then by your inventory being over capacity for some reason and the system placing everything in an special storage blueprint so you are not loosing that. i cant tell you how you did trigger that .. it shouldnt happen without changes to configs.
(usually if you are updateing from a version with a different set of parameters for capacity on storage / personal inventory)

Ok will look into it as I don't want me or my players to have that, its far too powerful in a survival game. Thanks for all your help on this matter anyway
