This could be really good, so that I wouldn't have to keep the nob of my baseball bat on the W key for ten minutes while traveling 150 kms. These could work by using a logic clock to repeatedly fire the engines, just like using weapons computers.

I would like to see something like this too. I think it would be really nice to have forward thrust be controlable in an up and down fashion, like a rocket in KSP. So you could lock the thrust at anywhere between 0-100%

If you want to travel 150 km you should wait until FTL gets implemented. A cruise control and/or autopilot would be nice though.

I suggested a while ago that the push/pull modules should go a certain direction if the computer linked to them is facing the desired direction, so you can steer the ship on all planes through the logic system.

You can already go 150 KM/hr (It's really m/s, dunno why it says km/hr.

No, I meant 150 km as in 150 000 blocks or a 150 default sectors, not the speed.

150km is nothing, people. If you have cruise control and an interior to walk around in, it actually takes like 7 minutes real time, even travelling at 100km/h.

    15 minutes at 100m/h.
37 if peoples on some server choose that big ships should only have thrust for 40m/s.

Actually, it's 25 minutes for 150km at 100m/s (as @Lecic pointed, that's what it is, even though it's marked km/h in the game).
And 63 minutes if the speed is 40m/s

lol, maybe we can make 1km sized blocks on planets to have them more realistic? *joking*
