Locked my self out of my design core

SO I was working on a kinda of space yacht/jump ship and having been trying to put together a fancy opening cockpit. Problem is when I logged back in today and loaded the design I could no longer enter holographic core as the cockpit was closed and I cant edit it without entering it. I feel like I may be the first idiot to have pulled this off but I guarantee there will be more what can I do ??

select the design and press tab+F8. it will only work if you are an admin or in SP though.

Alternatively, if that isn't working, the game could be thinking you're inside the core when you're actually not. I've had this happen a few times. /kick yourself. The game will crash, restart, and you should be able to use the core again, if that was the problem.
