Lightsource in buildmode

    Search function didn't show me a lot of hits but i'm sure this is an issue all builders can relate to: building in dark spots is frustrating.

    Sometimes an area of a ship is already closed and it's so dark in there you have to place plexlights all over the place to see what you are doing. In the end you have to delete all those plexlights to completely fill an area and that makes it even more tedious.

    My idea was to have a key that would activate a light with your buildmode cam as the source. Would be great if this source was stronger than a normal plexlight block.

    or just apply static lighting on the vessel if you are in build mode.

    it really gets annoying when the space is getting smaller and smaller

    I want to be able to hide something from someone nearby in build mode (of his own ship) in a dark room.

    So the lightsource is only clientside or something like that. Or only for the active ship otherwise you could look into other ships.

    Have you tried playing with shadows turned off? i havent tested this lately, but at one point after the shadows were added, turning them off made everything quite well lit.

    @Calbiri; yeah the problem is worsened by shadows. Turning shadows off is at best a work around, not a solution.

    YES. i tried working on a ship. I want to make it completly full, but at times i cant see what im doing!
