dont make the majority of the exterior use wedges. you are dealing with lots of unique shapes and curves here that will end up looking distorted with wedges placed on them. it looks better without them and is much easier to build on public online servers

Oh shit! I haven't seen a Farscape build in ages.

Do the interior right or else...

finished the hangar bay tonite! this is a good shot showing off the luscious golds of the warm blocks from my texture pack mixed with brown, lit by orange lights.

    more finished rooms to come...

By the gods.... This is pretty impressive!

Good luck for those wedges man. That's always my least favorite part.

The interior looks amazing, really captures the biomechanical look from the real thing! Btw, did you use smedit with manual smoothing to make the hull or do you just have god-like curve making skills? To be honest I can't tell because of how perfectly smooth it is (smedit generates errors a lot).

thanks! i knew getting the interior right would take a lot of work and i still have some other areas inspired by the show to put in, but the largest ones are done, which is great. it is a very fun project.

i did use some smedit to assist with generating the frame with no smedit-knobs. i use a process borrowed from spacie detailed in this post:

That use of light, shadows, and colours is amazing.

many thanks for the kind comments left on this thread so far. progress continues on the leviathan's interior. i'm expanding the hallways out into similar rooms, which i've settled on a sort of framed kidney-bean shape, like an organelle. this screenshot shows a frame up, and some half-plated rooms:

each on-symmetry pair is individually shaped, panel-framed and plated out to ensure optimal lighting:

once the lights and panels are plated out , here's the view from the inside of a small chamber:

also finished up a kind of technical / neural nexus room. i will animate the directional arrows on the floor at a later time.

i am very much looking forward to adding individual customizations to each these chambers!

i've also laid out a prison-block area so the ship can continue its mission of serving as a Moya RP / cinematic ship if need be and added timers to all the doors, etc. the project continues to be a lot of fun to work on!

Make the arms articulate as part of a logic activated starbur- I mean, jump sequence. :P

Kinda joking, that'd be hard to get the angles right. But if you did it, it would be amazing.
