one of the big problems with using a joystick is that one must position the thrust exactly in the middle in order to achieve no thrust. this is a big problem, as trimming a joystick's thrust system is very hard (try playing with a flight stick and see). there is no real way to figure out the "zero" without going into options. i suggest a system that allows you to
A: add a second joystick for reverse thrust
B: press a button that turns on the reverse thrust.
this will solve the problem, as the "zero" will be implemented as the bottom of the forward thrust, or when both levers are in the "zero" position in case A.
